🧠 MIS Decision Making
In Management Information Systems (MIS), the decision-making process is typically classified into three levels: Operational, Tactical, and Strategic. These levels reflect the hierarchy of decision-making in an organization:
-
Operational Level:
Decisions are routine and structured, dealing with day-to-day operations. Example: inventory control, payroll processing. -
Tactical Level:
Mid-level decisions that are semi-structured. Managers use MIS to allocate resources or plan departmental activities. Example: budget allocation, sales planning. -
Strategic Level:
High-level, unstructured decisions focused on long-term goals and policies. MIS supports executives in analyzing trends and making strategic choices. Example: market expansion, product development strategies.
